Diarrhea is the passing of frequent watery or loose stools more frequently than usual,acute diarrhea may lead to death,many people may have diarrhea once or more each year,diarrhea also may caused by allergy or infection or sign of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or Crohn’s disease or some time as side effect form some drugs.
Diarrhea classify as osmotic Diarrhea,secretory Diarrhea or exudative Diarrhea
Osmotic diarrhea : Means that something in the intestines that draw water from the body in the intestine. A example of this is the chewing gum diarrhea or diet candy diarrhea in which a sugar substitute, such as sorbitol, draws water from the body into the bowel, leading to diarrhea
Secretory diarrhea : it happen in some infection or some drugs in which the body it self release water into the bowel ,resulting in diarrhea.
Exudative diarrhea: this type of diarrhea acosiated withe some diseases like Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis and refers to the presence of blood and pus in the stool,resulting in diarrhea.
What are the symptoms of diarrhea?
Some who are passing watery stools and a little short episodes of stomach pain, while others may pass stool is very watery and more severe cramps in the stomach,also Symptoms of diarrhea may be uncomplicated or complicated diarrhea as a sign of serious illness ,in general the most common symptoms of diarrhea including

Diarrhea happen when the food and fluids in bowel pass too quickly or in too large an amount causing diarrhea as in normal healthy body colon absorbs liquids from food leaving the rest of undigested food u in semisolid stool and the most cause of diarrhea is a virus infection that called stomach flu or intestinal flu,also some diseases and conditions can cause diarrhea like Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
- Infection by virus include viral hepatitis or Rotavirus which cause acute childhood diarrhea.
- Infection by bacteria ( food poisoning ) such as salmonella, shigella and Escherichia coli
- Parasites such as Giardia lamblia and cryptosporidium
- Medications the most common are antibiotics as it destroy both good and bad bacteria
- Hyperthyroidism
- abuse of Laxative
- Some types of cancer
- Abdominal surgery or gallbladder surgery
- Diet and Malabsorption
- Other digestive disorders such as ulcerative colitis, Pancreatitis,celiac disease,Crohn’s disease,irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

How Is Diarrhea Treated?
- If you have a mild case of diarrhea you can start with over-the-counter medicine like Imodium ( loperamide) as it slow down bowel movements to let the gut increase water absorption,you also should keep drinking fluid at least six 8-ounce glasses , fruit juice or Chicken broth but without the fat.as diarrhea often carries a risk of dehydration also Diarrhea may affect the balance of salts and electrolytes in the body
- Take also Probiotics a good microorganisms type of bacteria offer protection from harmful bacteria that may cause diarrhea by food poisoning .
- For fever and headache you can start taking paracetamol or ibuprofen (do not take If you have kidney, liver or long-term stomach problems)
