During this process there might cause a mutation to other adjacent cells, and during this process the genes within the cells are also altered. In case the gene that was altered was performing the function of suppressing the cancer cells then by altering them their actions might get altered and reversed. Because of this these genes might start to induce the cancerous tumors.

This Nucleotide excision repair enzymes also performs the functions of repairing the damages caused to cells because of UV rays. Once the enzyme is mutated it is not able to repair any damages. Without this protection the skin becomes vulnerable to more and more damages every time the skin is being exposed to the Ultra Violet radiation. When these cases become severe then the patient might be advised to completely avoid sunlight.

This kind of disorders might develop in to skin cancer in little kids. The little child can be infected by any of the three kinds of skin cancers but the most important kind of skin cancer that affects the squamous cell carcinoma and metastatic malignant melanoma. Sometimes it might result in death or any other disorder. The individual’s prognoses affected are grim.
